9 Summer Attractions at Rosehaven’s New Communities

Rosehaven is thrilled to have several new communities coming soon to some great cities and towns across the GTA. From our modern high-rise in the heart of Hamilton, the Rebecca; to the beautiful single-family homes of Simcoe Woods near the lake in Innisfill; to the prestigious Mayfield Collection in Caledon; and our new release of singles, semi-detached, and townhomes at Ivy Rouge in North Oakville.

Now that the warm weather is here, we wanted to highlight some unique summer attractions in each of these towns. There’s plenty more to do, but if you’re looking to familiarize yourself with the area, here’s where to start.

If you’re considering Caledon…

Cheltenham Badlands

A geological marvel 400 million years in the making, the Cheltenham Badlands have always attracted fascinated onlookers to Caledon’s beautiful countryside. These red clay hills were formed at the base of ancient ocean, and have become one of Southern Ontario’s most recognized landmarks. You can spend hours hiking, taking pictures, and exploring the surrounding trails and landscapes.

Spirit Tree Estate Cidery

Afterwards, head over to Spirit Tree Estate Cidery to enjoy fresh baked pizza and their award-winning cider in their gardens. It’s a great atmosphere, with live music. Check their calendar to see who is performing.

Millcroft Inn & Spa

If you’re looking for something more relaxing, there’s Millcroft Inn and Spa. This countryside retreat is also a vintage hotel and offers fantastic views of nature, luxury treatments, and world-class dining. Book a stay, or go for the day.

If you’re considering Hamilton…

Art Gallery of Hamilton

The city of Hamilton is inarguably the art capital of the region. The Art Gallery of Hamilton is home to over 10,000 works by renowned Canadian and international artists, plus it hosts a range of rotating exhibits throughout the year.

Collective Arts Brewing

Collective Arts is a local institution and legendary Canadian brand, known for its creative brews and for supporting emerging and seasoned visual artists and musicians. It’s original location in downtown Hamilton is home to a beer garden, and two on-site restaurants, and in the summer time, there is always something going on.

If you’re considering Oakville…

Coronation Park

Coronation Park is a fantastic spot on Oakville’s famous lake shore between Third and Fourth Line. There are designated picnic areas, splash pads, playgrounds and more, plus washrooms and a snack bar for your convenience.

Downtown Oakville

Afterwards, head west to Downtown Oakville, six city blocks on the lake that bills itself as one of the best boutique shopping destinations in the GTA. It’s home to over 400 businesses — including gourmet food purveyors, high style fashion and design houses — as well as heritage landmarks, art galleries, entertainment offerings, and restaurants.

If you’re considering Innisfil…

The 400 Market

The 400 Market has been drawing visitors off the highway since 1986. This 30,000 square foot antique mall is home to hundreds of unique vendors selling clothing, specialty products, memorabilia, vintage wares, and more.

Friday Harbour Resort

Friday Harbour is a resort on the water in Innisfil, featuring a marina and beach clubs, lodging, lakeside condos, premier dining, shopping, and a top-tier championship golf course. There are dozens of activities and events going on throughout the summer. Spend the day on the water, on the trails, or on the course, and afterwards enjoy live music with marina views, handcrafted cocktails, and fantastic food from one of 10 on-site restaurants.
