What to expect at the new VMC

Vaughan’s ambition to build a booming downtown core is nearly as told as the city itself. When the province of Ontario announced in 2006 that Toronto’s Spadina subway line would be extended to Vaughan, plans began to take shape around the new terminal station.

The Vaughan Metropolitan Centre is now emerging out of that vision. Unique residential offerings, offices and mixed-use districts are spread out over a fine grain street grid which also includes network of parks, squares and open spaces.

By the time it’s complete in the next ten years, there will be more than 12,000 residential units, 1.5 million square feet of commercial office space, and 750,000 square feet of retail space. It will also be home to exciting new features in urban design, architecture, and sustainable building methods.

Of course, the buzz has made the VMC a huge draw for new investment. It’s fully walkable and accessible by transit from any direction, and includes what one member of Vaughan’s economic development team described as “show stopping” green and public spaces. But one of the biggest attractions is the broad range of amenities offered by the nine planned and completed residential communities.

The Vincent is one such community. Now in pre-construction, it’s set to be an exquisite hotel-inspired condominium with about 770 suites rising in two towers, 27 & 37 storeys above new retail space. The towers will boast striking architectural features including an elegantly appointed lobby and beautifully landscaped terraces, a spectacular 60’ outdoor pool, as well as a serene yoga studio, state-of-the-art fitness facility, cutting edge co-working spaces, and plush entertainment areas.

It’s a continuation of Rosehaven’s tradition in excellence in condo building and our contribution to a bustling new downtown at the beating heart of Vaughan.
